Let's preface this review by advising that I'm sick (sore throat) and that anything I say or don't say could be the result of a reaction to the antibiotic. Now that that's out of the way....I ordered from Taipei Tokyo yesterday via Uber Eats (i.e. the best delivery service ever invented!) because I was feeling awful and wanted something warm in my belly. I ordered an Unagi hand-roll, Shrimp Tempura Ramen and Vegetable Lo Mein. Yes, I know it was a lot of food for one person...no judging please.
The Ramen was packaged for delivery so that the ingredients wouldn't intermingle during transport and get soggy. The shrimp arrived warm and crisp, the cucumbers were cool and crisp and the ramen and other ingredients were ready for the warm, soothing broth. I combined them all in a giant bowl and happily slurped the tasty noodles. The broth was not only tasty but did wonders for my sore throat. I then moved on to the hand-roll.
Usually, I order spicy foods and add wasabi to sushi. But I abstained this time and was very happy that I did. The unagi and avocado were perfectly prepared and packed between rice in a seaweed shell. It was an ideal size and easy to eat as it didn't fall apart all over the front of me (which unfortunately is a common occurrence.)
As for the Lo Mein, I looked at it longingly but my belly said no. So it hung out in the refrigerator until around 7 pm when I dug into it, rewarmed it in the nuker and enjoyed a tasty bowl of noodly goodness. I'm now typing this while daydreaming about my dinner, which will undoubtedly include the Lo Mein leftovers and whatever other soft food options I can find in the house (hello ice cream!)
I will definitely order from Taipei Tokyo again. Delivery was prompt, the food was very good, and the menu has options to suit a variety of culinary moods.

I was craving Sushi so bad so we ended up here.

I saw a lot of takeouts from people but not actually dining in.

The service was ok. Not very attentive where waiter is on their phone with earphones on and sitting in the sushi bar area.

    The food came out fast.
we got several sushi rolls, and it wasn't good but not too bad.
    Prices were cheap.

Please don't order mapo tofu because it's a NO NO.

I was just across the street for a settlement and hungry as I had been a mess of nerves waiting for this sale to go through.

I remembered this place as a noodle soup type of place but I suppose that was over 20 years ago and it has either changed management, changed operations or both I suppose.  There was no time to read reviews just wanted a quick lunch so we could be on our way.

Maybe part of it is the disappointment but the food was just not great.  Very meh for my husband's noodle soup and my chow foon noodle dish.  My son got a sushi lunch combo and enjoyed it so for serving the purpose of a quick bite and a convenient location, it did only that.

I've been going here for some time, I work closeby. Usually, the service is okay. I would go for the lunch special. My coworkers and I ordered on Friday 8/16. I ordered at 11 am when they open to have the order ready by 11:30 am. They typically take 20 minutes to prepare the order. My lunchtime is only a set time of 30minutes. I repeated the order back to the representative 4x to verify. When I arrived to pick up my order, it was incorrect. I waited patiently to have them fix it, taking additional time off my already brief lunch. When I arrived at my office, the complete order had not been fixed. They somehow confused Lo Mein with Ramen. I called back upset to advise the representative. She was not helpful and informed me I can go pick up the correct order if I wanted to now. Again, I advised her that I did not have the time to do so. She informed me she would void my order and it would take 2-3 business days. It's now Wednesday and the credit has not been returned to my account. I am very disappointed with the service. When I went during lunch again today to speak with the manager, the woman that assisted me on Friday was present and did not provide the manager's information. She kept talking over me and smiling when I was clearly frustrated. I really preferred speaking to someone else but no one wanted to assist. After staying there another 20mins. I decided to call my bank instead. It is sad because the food is good but never going back again due to the poor customer service.

I ordered takeout from Taipei Tokyo and service was fast and efficient. The food, however, a little disappointing, especially the dumplings - which was the only thing that I was really sad about. My family mentioned something about the Pad Thai being well below average but I was focused on the dumplings. They were thin, soggy, and like they weren't made with the most important ingredient: love.

When I came out for pickup the place was packed, like nowhere-to-seat packed. So they definitely do something right, unfortunately, I missed it this time. If you want to like this place, don't order the dumplings. There are so many other dishes that you can try!

    Until next time...
